Hobson Beach, run by the County of Ventura, is about eight miles northwest of the city of Ventura, in the center of the stretch of coast known as The Rincon. A small loop of 31 camping and RV sites (10 have hookups), Hobson sits flush against the beach on one side, and the Highway 101 frontage road on the other.

Faria Beach,
which is two miles southeast beyond the Rincon RV Parkway (also run by the county of Ventura), Hobson is small, family-oriented and popular on the weekends. A tiny general store makes it easy to call Hobson home-away-from-home.
